Out of Place is a concept album, divided into two parts. The first part features 4 stand-alone songs, including the aclaimed "Schizophrenic Playground" - a journey into a Mind...
The first two songs focus on the more mainstream rock/metal sound of Sonic Pulsar.
The second part is a tremendous journey through space, time and the sci-fi story of Out of Place. This second part is the most progressive one, and represents the best in Sonic Pulsar's music views and ideas.
This concept album mostly tells the story, and point of view, of a star with a conscience, and also the point of view of someone living in a planet fed by the star's energy. The need to expand her knowledge and to get to know the corners of the universe, led to a supernova and the evacuation of the planet...

The greatest improvements in this album, resides in the sound recording quality and song structures. In Playing the Universe you could find a wide range of genres from rock to ambient. In the next cds it will mainly be prog metal but with a strong melodic component and ambience. The other main difference is that when we start recording one song, the others will follow. The idea is to have a uniform sound throughout the cds. For OOP we entered the studio and during two months we recorded the vocals, guitars and bass. This is a big difference, since in the previous album we recorded song by song, which in a way is great because we were able to finish every song with the greatest care and detail. But with this cd we want a specific type of sound, and only one main style.
